How did you start competing?

I started weight training for sports around 15 years old and fell in love with the iron. I was a huge fan of bodybuilding and used to read all the muscle magazines and followed the Mr. Olympia as a teenager. I ended up doing my first show at the age of 18 and was hooked!

How long have you been competing?

17 years... looking back, time has flown by. I've been blessed to do what I love as a career.

What is your proudest moment/achievement in your sport?

Turning Pro and winning the 2011 Mr. USA overall championship was my top highlight. You only turn pro once and it was a huge moment in my career.

What are your favorite foods to eat?

I'm a steak and potatoes kind of guy but when it's time to break the routine, my go to is a burger and fries! I'm a salt and fat guy over sweets.

What do you like to do outside of the Gym?

I'm a big fan of cars, guns, and music. I love racing my cars (a zr1 corvette and mustang cobra) and shooting guns. Both are my escape from the gym and daily routine. I'm also close friends with many rock musicians who are fans of bodybuilding so I love going to concerts and rocking out while I train!

Who are your inspirations or people you look up to?

Jesus, my Lord and Savior, is the man I look up to most. In the sport of bodybuilding, Jay Cutler has been my biggest inspiration to model my career and business after.

What’s something about you that not many people know?

I am in the hockey hall of fame from winning one of the biggest international tournaments (called the "Silver Stick") when I played hockey. The team that wins gets their names engraved on a silver hockey stick and placed in the hockey hall of fame.

What Superpower would you want to have?

I would want the ability to fly like superman.
